Affiance, meaning to betroth in trust and confidence, is an American metalcore band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 2007. They released one EP prior to their debut album No Secrets Revealed, the latter being released on label Bullet Tooth Records in December of 2010. Vocalist Dennis Tvrdik sings of political and religious issues, often pushing his voice to surprisingly high ranges. He explains the band's nature: "We are a band that strongly believes in the pursuit of truth and happiness. In order to achieve these ideals we must delve into concepts and that we often don't want to think about. We hope that through our music we can inspire people to think for themselves and be pro-active in society."[1]

Affiance formed and released their first 6-track EP entitled Calm Before the Storm in late 2007.
After minimal success with the EP, the band strove on and eventually signed a deal with Bullet Tooth records to begin production of their debut album.
After the release of their EP, the band began their first nationwide tour with friends Across The Sun and No Bragging Rights. The band admits that working with these bands was an honor that has greatly increased their fan-base and has bettered their friendships.[1]
During this tour, president of Bullet Tooth Josh Grabelle saw the band play in New Jersey and was interested immediately. Later, he said, "These guys were one of the best live bands I had ever seen. I truly needed to see them play live to make sure Dennis' vocals weren't studio magic, and they certainly weren't! I was blown away. The whole band was incredible, and the songs on this album are gonna knock people's socks off."[2] Incredibly, the same show was played during a hurricane with 60+ MPH winds and rain. Luckily for Affiance, Grabelle was overly impressed and quickly signed the band to the relatively new Bullet Tooth Records.
The signing to Bullet Tooth was certainly a risk for the label, however. Affiance is still relatively new and unheard of in most markets.
In the fall of 2010, the band entered the studio and began their preparations for the release of their first full length album, No Secrets Revealed. "We are very excited and we believe, with the help of Bullet Tooth, we will be able to work harder, push further, and accomplish more than we ever have before," said guitarist Brett Wondrak when questioned about his experiences with the label. Their first full length album, titled No Secrets Revealed, was released on December 2, 2010.
In 2011, Affiance's single Call to the Warrior was released as a downloadable track on the popular game Rock Band[3]. In accordance, the band's music video for the song is of them playing their own track on Rock Band[4].
